Just realized something

So I'm waiting for my pair of convicts to breed in my 20gal tank. But it just clicked in my head that last week when I put in a couple ghost shrimp I'm pretty sure at least 2 of them ended up in the filter intake...

My magnum HOT will probably eat all of the fry won't it? Can I just put a sponge over the intake and solve that problem or does something more drastic have to happen?

Sponges usually do it. Avoid sponges too fine as they will clog rapidly.

Either placing device over the outtake to make the output current less strngth for the current to push everything around, or place a sponge on the intake by wrapping it frim with a sponge will work..........
