Hello, just picked up a kelberi peacock bass of about 8 inches from a friend of a friend who had it in a tank where got beat up pretty bad by a Texas cichlid, I had a spare tank going so I offered to adopt him , my plan is to eventually put him in my 120 gallon with my 10 inch datnoid, he’s in pretty rough shape but still very active and eating pellets although the bad condition he’s in , here’s a pic

Woke up this morning to find the bass hungry for food swimming very actively, eating pellets day 1 , I think he should be fine way sooner than I thought thankfully, right now I’m gonna leave him quarantine in a 65 gallon for the next month or so and then move up to the 120 with the datnoid

Just thought I’d give you guys an update, he’s doing great, swimming actively and was just added yesterday to the 120 gallon with my 10 inch datnoid, only thing I noticed a few hours later is the datnoid had some scratches on his side so I’m curious if it was the bass or maybe he just scratched himself on a decoration while the bass was scattering around
