I just want to rant about what I just saw. I was just at a chinese restuarant, funny cuz I am chinese. Anyways they had 2 very large silver aros in a what looked to be a 120 or 150. The tank was 4x2 but not sure of the height. These aros were atleast 28-30in each. Very tall and thick. There was a bag of pellet food, so atleast they are not on feeders. My rant is, every silver I have raised. All seem to get the dreaded DE, I have a 210. These two fine specimens did not. The poor fish barely could swim in it!!!! You can tell these were older fish too, cuz the fins did not look "young". I am thinking these guys were either wild caught or were raised by someone with a huge tank and sold them to the restuarant.
Its either that or DE is more of a genetic thing rather an eviromental thing. Now discuss!!!!!!!!!
