Seems to be a good filter so far. Very quiet and started up with no trouble. There seems to be a small amount of air that I can hear in the canister and every so often I can hear a few bubbles coming from the spray bar. Is this normal? Will it work the air out by itself or can I use the priming button to get rid of it. Any input from experienced pro 3'ers will be greatly apreciated!

They are great filters. Push the prime button a couple times, and the air should be gone.

Hey thanks for the replies. the little air that was left seems to have worked itself out by this morning. I am planning to add some filter floss in one of the baskets as added mech filtration. Does anyone else have any upgrades that may be benificial for me in terms of water polishing (WyldFya:) )?

I've got some Prefilters that came with my 2229 wet/ dry that I will be getting to put on my intake for my 2078 3E. They can be gotten at BigAlsOnline.com #7002 or 7702 don't remember they are 3.99 for 2.

The best way IMO is to get 2 Hydro III sponge filters, and put them on directly over the intake baskets. This will get great mech filtration on the tank.
