just unsure of what to do for a living

Hi,

I am so confused on what i want to do for a living. I have 4 stable jobs in mind which are airplane pilot,working on a boat,policeman and working into the cinema industry such as a cameraman or something.

Sunday i am going to fly a plane for the first time as i am taking flying lessons. I want to try to be a police officer for a day. Is it a program that the local police station offer where you follow a police officer on his duties for a day. I like the idea of being on patrol. I admit that i got interested in police work due to shows like Adam-12. For working on a boat there is a ferry boat just 5 mins from where i live. I like water and i go scuba diving. The idea of working on a vacation boat and traveling is interesting to me. I've been trying to apply on the ferry as a sailor for the summer. RIght now i am taking part time jobs such as dishwashing in restaurants,retail sales all jobs i can get but i don't want to do this all my life. As for cinema i am taking acting lessons and did extra work in movies. I can go to college to learn film productions such as working with cameras,film editing ect.. I go an offer to go visit the college. the college is the trebas institute

I know i want to travel and i know i want to do something in the artistic field. I follow my passions as a hobby wich are playing a musical instruments,acting,stage magic and professional wrestling. Yes i am even friend with some wrestlers on facebook. Those are hobbies and i need a job i can fall back on.

Sorry for the rant. I just wanted to put it ou t there at least i have my fish to relax
 
That is a joli probleme. 4 different jobs available?
 
Some Police departments have a police explorer program.You can check with your local station and see there is one in your area...So which pro wrestlers are you friends with?
 
Post on mfk for a living. I do and look how successful I am. I have 2 fx5 and a bagel slicer! How many people you know who have that combo?
 
pick a job with a good retirment plan i choose self employment as a furniture builder/retailer store owner so im on the hook for my retierment plan i always wanted to be in corrections or any gov job.i heard where i live police doesnt pay well
 
The thing about police work, is its HEAVILY dramatized in tv/movies. If you think you're going to be getting into an action-packed crime-slaying job... you're in for a shock, law-enforcement for the most part is loooong periods of boredom.

But I think you're on the right track, try and experience as many different fields as you can before committing.
 
Forget airline pilot. Nowadays, pilots are underpaid and are forced to either work too little hours or too long hours. They're wages have not kept up with the cost of living and their additional expenses (hotels, meals, uniform purchases/cleaning,transportation, union dues, etc.) leave many of them unable to finance their own home.
