Dont take offense but I found your post funny...

...your name is "Redtail _Fanatic" and your asking if they can breath out of water? With a name like that you should be a pro...or at least have read up on them.

And the answer is yes....you can even put a collar on them and take them out for a walk. (just bring a bottle of water in case it gets thirsty) :ROFL:

I don't see any reason why ya'll are ganging up on this guy. There is nothing wrong with his question. Many catfish can breath on land or at least gulp air. Anyone here ever heard of Clarias Batrachus?
To answer the question though, no. Nether catfish can breath out of water.
