Does pleco really hide in the dark?

i just wondering when i feed them they just wont come out of the drift wood or their dark hiding place but by next day all i can see is their poos!

Plecos rarely come out during the day. Most of mine hide under a log or in a cave. The only plecos I have had that I have been able to see regularly during the day are excessively large plecos that have run out of room to hide, and the Acanthicus Adonis plec. But camp out at night or get a moon light and you will be able to see these little beauties more often.
