Why doesnt the Native Fish Guys, have a trading post or somthing of the such here, There must be tons of fish available from different areas, or folks willing to give away or trade fish from their area in return for things they cant get locally.

Wouldnt that legally step on a lot of toes? Maybe not if they were trades, but still. There are so many dumb fine details you have to pay attention to with wild-caught fish.

Legally speaking you can trade or give away anything that is not endangered, or under a shipping ban from certain parts of the country as i understand the law. Now if someone wanted to, say pay extra for shipping, handling, etc.

Just a thought

Hmm...interesting. Well I would probably be willing to swap if someone came up here, but nothing that wasnt fully legally...whatever. Something that there were no hitches with. I am getting a shipment in of LARGE natives. They are fingerlings now, but get to be pretty big. They are farm raised, and as long as they go into aquaria I hear that you dont need any permits for them.

I think it would be cool. But I do agree I would want to research the legal side of it before I jumped into anything

We already have a forum for trading in natives. It's the Marketplace. Please don't try to start a trade section on this discussion forum. It'll only serve to open a can of worms in every other forum.
