let me start by saying that i am a meat eating, violence loving, v-8 driving, hunt em' and eat em type of person. I don't litter, and don't belive in bluntant wrong doing. yet i notice some of you seem to be very enviormentaly friendly, or seem so. I dare to say bleeding heart tree huggers. Thats all fine you are what you are.

I post on a chinchilla board and the people there are so anti violence, fur, pollution ect. some of you share that trait, or seem to be similar. Seems most places animal lovers congregate are like this. animal forums and sites.

so my question here is if you can post what kind of person you are? are you a hippy earth lover type? a vegetarian, vegan? or are you a i feed my fish live food cause i love to watch it swim with half its body type of person?

After high school im going to college to persue environmental science and become a teacher. I guess that makes me a earth loving hippy maybe.

but i am definitly not against feeding live. its natural right? kinda?
 
Why does being environmentally friendly, anti-violence, fur, pollution, etc. have to have a derogatory label attached? Wouldn't that mean anyone not riding a bike, wearing nothing but synthetic, and eating only vegan but calling themselves planet friendly are at best deluded, at worst hypocrites, telling themselves and everyone else lies. Not trying to be rude, but it seems if someone tries to do something good, there's someone else ready to label them.
 
It goes both ways. I don't think the original intent was meant to be inflammatory, so let's keep this one civil.
 
i'll just say that, i drive a 97' chevy silverado, with big mud tire and my truck has a sticker that says:

Me, just a regular joe. Non tree hugging, not totally against fur, not against hunting unless it's cruel in some form, not against gas guzzlers. At the same time I dislike the way some people keep animals.
 
hey guys i'm not bashing on anyone's choices or types of living.

but as i said in animal type forums i tend to run into what seems to be these conservationist, tree hugger types.

i have a chinchilla. I post in a chinchilla forum but i can't go on thier forums and say Fur is good, i'd probly get banned. (seriously) even tho i don't mind fur things. or i couldn't say i'd buy my girl friend a fur coat from a chinchilla farm if it was real cheap and affordable. (I'd get banned and burned alife there)

so i noticed on some threads here that people make comments about how unhumane certain things are, or comments about pollution and gas consumption.

Just wondering what type of people i'm dealing with on this site thats all.
 
I am not a tree hugging hippy and I dont like PETA but I do believe in treating animals well dont kill it unless your gonna eat it, and I am against live feeders because of how unhealthy they are..... but damm I love eating fish and red meat mmmm mmmm good... oh yeah and I hate pollution and littering but I believe that the factories should be made to putout less pollution because I do love the old muscle cars....
