im just woundering how long would a tank 6x2x2 last for my 2 silver arows ? they are about 17-20in thanks

Most people would consider that a minimum tank size for Adults Arows. So by that standard, indefinitely. However a 300-360 with a larger footprint, and 3 foot front-back depth would provide them with a much better environment.

thanks...i for got to mention im eventually going for a 8ftx30x30 this is just tempeary

it will last 2 month or so,your tank wont fit the 2 get a 8x3x2 tank or sumthing

for sure, go 8x36 instead of 8x30, that extra 6 inches is alot in terms of turning around a 36" fish.

Depends on how long you really want to leave them in there. Recommendation that aros are kept in tanks 3x there length with a width equal to their length. So by that a 6x2x2' tank is good for a 24" arowana. You can cheat some and push the aros length a couple of inches.

The average silver's growth will slow around 24" to a couple of inches per year. So figure another 4 to 6 months your silvers will be about 24". Look to have that new tank ready within a year of that.

I will tell you having two 24" silvers in a tank that size is dangerous. When one gets spooked the other will too, this creates much damage to themselves and other tank mates. So the sooner the better on that new tank.

Long enough for one of them to fight with the other...
Really, so how long will it take for his two aros two fight with on another? Looks to me as if your post really is not an answer.
