Going to keep him in the rubbermaid until I can afford a used 55+ gallon. Yup, after the family fell in love with this thing, wife gave me approval for another tank! woot! blackmail at it's best...hehe :headbang2

I purchased him from Petco. I must say their setup was really nice. All the turtles were fed feeder gold fish, so they are somewhat spoiled on live food...but very healthy.

Just ate a red worm (took him a few) so that's a good sign all is well atm.

Pics (please let me know if I need to improve anything):

Yeah all we have is iceburg lettuce here at the house (which is mostly water). I will have the wife pick up some leaf at the grocery store next time she it out. Thanks for the advice.
:D

First that is a girl res:D, so in the next 10 or so years it will start to need a place to lay its eggs wich are produced with or without a male, egg laying area will be needed. Second thouse ruber spider toys dont belong in a turt tank:grinno: You will need some dark leafy greens like mustard and collard greens (iceberg letuce aint good for you either), reptomin and some fish like rainbow trout(freze, unfroze when needed, feed in separate buget)

Yeah I was going to ask about the feeder fish in a seperate tub, which I have.
:D

Female you say? Need to inform the family so they can change the name then...haha

Also quick question, she has not bathed in the lamp yet yet. Should I be concerned about that?

The set up isnt bad at all. To bad rubbermaid doesnt make a glass clear tub.

I dont know anything about turtles but since coura mentioned one day she will lay eggs. You could just put a smaller tub with soil/sand in a larger tub and keep water level couple inches below that.

The tub itself looks roomy not bad idea at all.

lol yes the toys are unusual decor.

Thanks Louie, the tub is a 104L rubbermaid, it was the largest Target had - paid 12 dollars :D. I removed the toy jacks. Also removed the air stone. Purchased some Kale today at the groc store. She still has not sun bathed though. Likes to swim.....all around and all the time. Must be the young age.
lol
