Juvenile AUL setup info needed...

Have my first Aussie lung incoming, need some tips on setup.

I have raised SAL, WAL and MAL as well as similar fish like polys...

I was wonderig if you suggested gravel or not...I'm worried about the little guy swallowing it. Never had a fish this expensive, so I'm a bit paranoid

Setup is the same as any other lungfish. I have 2 one at 14" and 20". But I suggest sand for safety. I don't trust gravel anymore as even some 16" bichirs before died from it. BTW Aussie use more of it's gill than it's lung, not like the African species and SAL that rely more on their lungs. Try to feed it more carotenoid foods so the belly will turn to almost orange. Mine will eat carrots.

Thanks, sand it is lol, and yup, it's from that order. It's funny, I've never had that problem with polys on gravel. I've had some for 8-10 years.
