Juvenile cichlid need id

hi guys

i got this little cichlid a yesterdy

but i couldn't found where he belong

i know it's cichlid and he look like he can go big

but i need to know what his id

can any one help ?

Peacock Bass.
Looks like a Cichla Temensis!

Thats a Peacock Bass..... You gotta 250 gallon+??? If not bring him back immediatley. Grow huge and I think you have an Temensis but the other PBass fans will tell you truely what it is.

Hes a peacock bass, cichla temensis, they get big. Upto 3ft in the wild expect a solid 18" parhaps bigger. An awesome cichlid. Im very jealous.

i though that also but that long black stripe make me confuse a little cos i didn't find a pic for juvi pbass with that stripe

and for the tank

it's still early for him so i put him with other cichlids in 1 m tank

but when the tank become small for him ...i have a above ground pool that we never use , i can keep him there untile i buy/built big tank

but can i ask u something else

how much time it take for him to reach 18" ?

1 year..2..3 ?
