Just picked up 6 Crenicichla Menesezi youngsters for one of my 75 gallon tanks. Added six bleeding heart tetras, 8 Corydoras Agassizi, and 2 yellow tailed chalceus babies.

Really excited by these as I haven't seen spangled saxatilis type pikes around for a while. Only sveni, proteus, blood tear, and anthurus have been coming around and I have wanted a species with heavy spangling for a while. Even better is that these are among the smaller saxatilis type species so the 75 should be good for life with the bleeding hearts.

Here's a video.

Great pick up! I love the spangling on Cr. menesezi. I look forward to seeing updates as they grow out and spangle up.
Thank you @darthpike. Looking forward to ending up with a pair or two.

Jealous. I really want to get a new group of Pike's. Looks like they have some spangling on them already, they are gonna be nice
You definitely should. Menesezi are going around right now and they are known to be mellow and stay smaller.

I had a couple of these 20 years ago, great pikes and an enormous amount of spangling. Mind me asking where you got them?

I got them from Mark Denaro who is at Natural Pet here in PA.

Nice wild oscar in your avatar. What strain is that?

I like it a lot. From rapps?
Nope, his shipping costs just aren't worth it to ship to Canada for buy single or a small group of fish. I got this girl from afishionados. He is local too so I can go in and look at fish before I buy which is pretty awesome. I go window shopping there more than I should for sure.
