lah lah land.
I got a young endli a few weeks ago. I haven't seen it eat yet. I've tried frozen and live blood worms and sinking hikari pellets. It seems to get excited during feeding time. But it may just be trying to get out of the other fish's way. I've tried feeding at different times. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Try feeder rosies my bichirs go crazy for live fish. as it gets bigger you could try to get it on frozen foods. 3 weeks is a long time for a baby bichir

hope this helps - Delhezi B

What size is yours? What do you use for substrate? I wonder If the fact that I have gravel is messing with him. I know they like sand.

I bought 2 young endlis two months ago.
Up until recently they did not accept non-live food.
When you got them fat on feeders, starve em out for a few days and drop something else in the tank... they'll eventually come around.

glad it ate for you, a word on using starvation/fasting as a method to switch foods:

do not starve baby bichirs! sub-adult fish are okay, say in the 6" range, but when it comes to babies, you need to find out what they want to eat as quick as possible, and let them be spoiled for a bit if they only want to eat one type of food.

If you starve them too long, you are hurting the most crucial period of their growth and development.
