Juvenile giant gourami diet?

What do you guys recommend feeding a 3” giant gourami? It is interested in Veggie flakes. Once any other food touches the bottom it ignores it. It doesn’t spend to much time looking at the surface so I end up digging out a lot of uneaten food. Any ideas on something that may sink very slow and still fit in this fishes mouth? I’ve tried Various kinda small veggie discs broken up. Should I just stick to the flakes if it’s eating them?

try sinking cichlid pellets or shrimp pellets

Don’t worry about veggie flakes or pellets. Not many have a high “veggie content”. Just use a veggie clip. There are pellets that specifically made to float so get those (eg New Life Spectrum Float) for a basic pellet
