For those of you who have had or have juvenile rays approximately 5-6"s how long did it take for them to eat once they arrived? What did they? It'd be interesting to compare how long some have taken and what got them eating.

I had two retics that started eating right after I put them in the tank. I ended up trading them for a black aro.

What were they eating? Mine were put in yesterday morning haven't eaten. I'm not too concern since it's only been a day, but want to try whatever I can.

Had a female Marble x Motoro take apprx 9 days, lights out and covered.

I recently picked up a small retic. It took a week to start eating live blackworms. My hystrix started eating chopped worm as soon as out of the bag to a day or two later. My motoros always ate right away too.

That makes me feel better since I just got them yesterday. They're just too skinny and they need to eat. I'll just keep throwing a variety of food at them and hopefully sooner or later they'll start. I think this topic will be good for those who get rays and can have a good understanding of how long it takes sometimes for a ray to eat and which food got it started.

Mine started on crawlers, then on to tilapia, market prawn, and muslces.
I will add that only one took that long, all others within the first day or two.
