ive been having trouble witht the juvinile aros lately, but my large one is doing fine. one diedfrom attacks from weitherthe 2 oscars or the 2 convics, so i moved the other one into the pond. it did excellent in there for a week or so until it got ich. i moved it to a 30 gallon tub as its hospital home and put it with a small sick pacu that had ich too. i raised the temp to 85 and put in some ich medicine. its been there for a week and it was swimming vigorously; then today, i cheked on it and it looked like it was dead. it was on its side on the bottom of the tub but was still breathing. Its eyes are PARTIALLY RED. whats the problems i am having? ive not had much success with juveniles (4- in) but the largers ones do fine

Did you make sure that the temp were the same between the tank and the pond? Even the most smallest change in water temp. can cause ich. Also like how others say baby arowanas are very fragile, the treatment you use may be too strong towards the arowana...I wish the best for your arowana.

baby aros are very fragile and great care should be taken
they shouldn't be stressed much

With all this moving you are doing with the aro, are you taking time to acclimate the aro to the new water?

aww geez...well now i found him dead today. i usually take 30 minutes to drip water into the bag to acclimate them. i think the pond might be too cold for it because its winter now and its colder than usual. its about 73-75 degrees
