Juvenile snakehead ID

[Slogz]

Hi, this snakehead popped up at my lfs under the assumed name (peacock polypterus) lol.
Anyway, just wanted an ID on this guy so i can see if i have the tankspace and the means to keep it.
It has red in the pectoral fins and blue lines in the rest of the fins, the body is brown and has darker brown diagonal broken stripes.Pics attached is the best i could do

it is there, especially on the smaller ones, i thought best to take a pictures of the biggest one, which is in the pics also the rest was in the back and out of focus really,perhaps this fish was stressed?

how i know u not a fed wanting to bust this lfs for blacklisted stuff?

got it at sams, they had 2 left as of the weekned. 1 looks like it could have some sort of spinal deformity and the other was missing an eye. it was R90 bucks

I mean, he's supposedly from South Africa so idk why he's so curious. And only has 24 posts...mainly revolving snake heads. I can't blame ya for being weary...
