juvenile uaru with attitude lmao

i have just seen my 2 baby uaru (2.5-3") get aggressive for the first time. worse than they are with bloodworm.
i put some cucumber and romaine lettuce in for the first time and they are making pigs of themselves and they beating on my barbs and larger gold gouramis if they get too close to the cucumber.
quite amusing TBH.

yeah they will fend of other fish but other cichlids may be a different story

the larger of the 2 is even having a go at the other one. cucumber seems to have brought out the devil in them they like shelled peas and my plecs algae wafers as well.
they have always been friends till the cucumber. it wont affect their long term compatibility will it?

next time just put 2 peices in on sepreate ends of the tank so they can have their own.
