Where Palm Trees Grow
I've recently become very interested in ordering a Vittatus, And I was wondering if the combo would work out. I have 13 2-3" Geophagus Tapajos, They are all very peaceful accept for the dominant one which chases the others around as expected from cichlids. I've never seen this done before and I'm not sure myself if it would work out. Let me know what you guys think.

Vittatus need a big tank. 55 at least for a 3". The tiger will either get picked on or tear your fish up on territorial fighting. I think that would not work out. Mine will pick on any fish that he thinks is even close to his territory. With cichlids being territorial and always finding a spot that's theirs, the tiger mint make his home on one of their turf and things could go wrong. I would suggest getting the tiger his own tank and going from there..

Should be fine. Any combo of any species is a risk. Vittatus are usually constant swimmers and geo's are usually stop n go at the bottom. I would get an egg crate measured to size as a 2nd option but I personally would have no fear of adding a juvi ATF w/lots of juvi geo's.

This is just my opinion :) G/L

P.S Vittatus Rock!!

Just from personal experience, I had my GATF in with some cichlids and the cichlids constantly picked at him so I had to remove them. Just keep an eye on him...

Mind over matter... I don't mind, so it don't matter.
