Title is exactly what it says. I finally managed to get ahold of a tank for my single RBP who's sadly been stuck in a 29 gallon since he was a couple inches. He was a rescue from a 5 gallon and a 29 is all I had at the time. I'd like to add some more RBPs to the new tank, however the LFS around here doesn't stock Piranha his size, so I would have to purchase Juveniles. Could I add them in with him in the new tank, or should I keep them in the 29 for them to grow out a few inches before adding?

if he was raised as a single RBP, it would be really difficult to add any piranha even if same size, ive tried to do what your are attempt many years ago, but i had 3 6inch and let 3 smaller rbp be in the bigger tank until they would grow a bit bigger, then added the 3 6inch, but lasted 2 months and the bigger piranhas overtook the big tank. i would think it would be even harder with one that has been raised alone.. i have a single RBP in a 63 gallon, and never had a more aggressive fish.

That's a bummer to hear. Maybe I'll keep my eye out for a 40 breeder and move him over to that. Then I can just grow out a seperate school in my new tank.

he would be very happy with that :) it is possible to add him to an exciting shoal with bigger fish
