Have had this juvi for about 3 weeks now. LFS had him on live feeders. Got him to take frozen BW. Now trying to ween him onto pellets. Going on day 4 and he still just mouths and releases. BTW he's about 5.5". My silver and blacks took to hikari sticks since day one.

fish dependent, i guess. my juvi jar took to floating sticks on day one

he'll come around like everybody else ^^

My little leichardti Arowana I bought at 3 inch starting eating them on day 2 of being introduced to them. The first day he just would mouth them and chew and spit back out but on day 2 he was mostly eating them and now he gobbles em up...

I normally make him eat 3 or 4 sticks before I finish feeding with other food items such as frozen and or live blood worms, shrimp meat, baby night crawlers and crickets once every week or two. I give him a good variety. Hes only had feeders one time since I have had him. I gave him baby guppies one time, but don't plan to give him feeder fish too often.

It's a good start. Just give it some time to get used to the taste and texture.

My young aro would do the same thing. i just give in and give him what he wants. ill force him onto the sticks later, i hope....

mine would eat half the pellet and spit out the rest.

Yeah that's the only dry food I feed my aros. I usually feed frozen krill in the evening, but am sticking only to sticks so he gets used to it.
