im so pissed but does he have any chance of coming back? he was out for up to an hour i threw him back in my 60 and its not looking too good
so does he really at all have a chance? anything i can do to help out??

im not sure.. skin is looking better but its got like a huge dent in his stomach and a serious curve in its spine.. hopefully it didnt get any back injuries during the whole thing

worst part about this is i had just put on the glass tops for the first time around the time he would have jumped.... ahh im pissed its not like any gar i have ever seen its some sort of hybrid i think

This doesn't make any sense... He jumped though the glass?

Anyways, like they said... Kill the light and try to keep in front of the water intake flow so that there is good clean water moving across his gills.
Post some pics and keep us updated, we're all counting on you to save this Gar... Don't let us down.

gar's are the tanks or the freshwater fish world, very hardy. I'm sure with some TLC he'll come around..

don't put him in front of the water flow. stressing him out for no reason. if the fish is able to swim he'd be fine. add extra aeration on the tank, and see if it has taken any permanent damage. as always with gars you should have heavy lidding. post some pics if you aren't sure if he's sustained any spinal/serious injuries, good luck
