I'm planning to grow out a GT in a 30 gal and it would be boring to have just a small fish in that tank so I was wondering what are some goodlooking tankmates that would be able to stay in the 30 gal for life and won't bother the GT too much. It can be schools of fish or just a few larger fish that could live with the GT as it grows, I'm open to suggestions.

30 gallon for life is insufficient for a green terror how ever I'm confused because you refer to the 30 gal as a grow out tank and then ask what would work for life. A 29 or 30 would work for a while but not forever depending on how fast the GT grows. Mine made it to over 8" in less then a year. Imagine a bulky 8" fish in a 29 gallon. As for dithers, giant danios or tiger barbs.
When I asked for something that could live in the 30 for life, I was referring to the dithers. The GT would eventually be moved to a larger tank but I would like the dithers to stay in the 30 if possible.
