Isla Taboga Panama via Milwaukee
In preparation for a collecting trip, to Lago Mira Flores just off the Panama Canal soon, I have been trying to hone my cast net skills, an up hill battle.
Practice is at a little sandy beach, in about 2 ft of water, half block from my house, at low tide.
But just as the tide starts to return, juvie Mantas have been showing up, in sometimes only inches of water

Brought my camera today, to see if they might show, and lucked out today.

I once saw clouds of cownose rays playing around the ocean city md bridge. Really cool, but not as cool as manta ray’s!

I have seen manta rays jumping out of the water, as well as cownose rays relatively close. But I have never seen the juvies in just a few inches of water. That’s amazing!
