I have 3 trimacs and 3 vieja synspilum on their way at the moment,
their only about 1-2'', i will putting them in the american growout tank.
and im interested in knowing how aggressive they will be as juviniles, I was planning on growing them out to around 5-6'', hopefully finding a pair then selling the odd one out,.

so yeah, are the agro as juviniles?

Can't comment on trimacs as I have never kept them, but the syn that I had was not aggressive as a juvie. I kept it in a 180g tank that is well stocked with various CA & SA cichlids of similar size. Once it outgrew the others in the tank, it became dominant but never outwardly aggressive.

I don't know the size of your tank, however I can tell you Trimacs when young are generally very aggressive to the point where a dominant individual can try to systematically remove all other fish from you tank. Some are more aggressive than others but as a rule they are not very tank mate friendly.
