Juvy midas, dovii and cyanoguttatus

I bought these fish just over a week ago. I got 4 midas that are about 1.5”, 5 dovii that are about 1” and two cyanoguttatus that are about 3”. I am hoping for a good male from each batch. I really want a yellow, orange or red midas but who knows what they will turn into as they grow. They are all doing good. Now its the waiting game to see how they grow out.

Are you going to try to keep them together as adults, or do you have a separate tank planned for the dovii?

They are all in a 300 gallon right now growing out. I dont plan on keeping the others with the dovii. If a miracle happens and the dovii I keep isnt aggressive I may keep them together or until he shows aggression. At that point they will be moved out of the 300 tank and the dovii will be alone.

Nice pick up on the Cyanoguttatus. Real Cyanos seem hard to come by these days. Yours looks amazing. It looked like he was on patrol, making sure everyone is behaving lol. All your fish look happy and healthy with plenty of swimming room. Nice choice of fish. GL

Cich Mind Ty. They are doing good. The midas are like little puppy dogs already coming up to the surface when I feed or at the side of the tank following my finger. It took the dovii about 4 days to settle down and not dart at every little movement of my hand when feeding. The dovii are still a little skittish but not bad. The cyanos settled pretty fast also. The bigger cyano that does the chasing was marked as a male and the subordinate one was marked female. I do see some courting behavior between them but I dont know if that one is a female or just trying to appease the dominate one to end the chasing.
