I recently bought a 4 inch red snakehead from my LFS. It was doing fine at first, swimming around and very active. The next day I fed the fish what I usually feed them, freezedried krill, carnivore sticks, and a cube or 2 of bloodworms. The snakehead didn't eat. I didn't mind because it was only in my tank for 2 days. I kept on feeding my fish daily, occasionally adding feeders, but my snakehead doesn't seem to eat. Its been almost a week and my snakehead still hasn't eaten so im just wondering if there is another type of food that I should try or what else I should do as I really do not want it to die....regards

Kinda weird that it doesnt eat feeders , my red SH would go nuts over feeders but he also enjoyed Shrimp which u could try . chop up some market shrimp and see if he goes for it .

Also forgot to add , whats the stock list etc on the tank? its possible that its stressed from other fish my SH was freaked by the bigger RTC and wouldnt eat for ages .

I keep my SH with a pbass chevron greenterror and pleco all aroun the same size. They all get along fine except for the cichlids fighting every now and then. And this is all in a 90 gal

are you 100% sure the micro is not getting bullied by the cichlids , green terra esp.

it does not take much to stress out a young micro and even mild bullying from the cichlids would cause it enough stress no to eat .

i would keep a very close eye on the tank for any bullying , and also try some sort of live worms , let us know how things develop

cheers col

good news, my SH ate 4 small feeder guppies today. It still looks really skinny but hopefully, this is a good sign. BTW my GT did have a history of bullying other fish. it killed a fire eel and an arowana :(. It used to bully my rainbow SH and that forced me to move it out of my tank. But now the GT is fine with all the fish in my tank...its too scared of the SH's (chevron and red). Even the pbass doesnt mess with it. Are micropeltes supposed to be active fish? Cuz another problem with it is that it only stays in 1 corner of my tank...and thanks for the advice given so far :)
