hi all i am considering using k1 media in my sump for my 300 gallon tank. so i have approximately a 50 gallon sump due to space under the tank. so i found a calculator that said i should use 15 liters of k1 media. well i have found 25 liters for a decent price so i am going to go with the 25 liters. stocking will be CA cichlids.
how much space do i need for the k1 section of my sump? currently i have a section set up in my sump design that is 17 gallons measuring 11.75x14.5x24 inches i can make this bigger if needed.
