Hello,

I wanna do some maintenance on my sump over this weekend.

I'll need to drain it, can i leave my k1 out of water for an hour or so ?

Or should i try my best to keep it submerged in another container for a while ? Maybe in the tank itself ?

I could just dump it in the tank and let my powerhead circulate it for a few hours. Wouldn't be hard to catch it again tbh

Just place the K1 media mesh bag and place in your aquarium like you stated. The live Bacteria will still survive on it without movement. Don't let Media dry out or you will be starting Cycle over.

I don't have any mesh bags, so i may just dump it in n let it float about, hopefully my Arowana won't eat it.

I'll see if i can find something else to keep it in.

Yes you can place in a bucket or something you use for the aquarium and add a Air stone if you like.

Great thinking a few pillow cases will actually do the trick. Have to give them a good rinse before though to make sure no detergent left in them
