Kamfa? What is this one?

Picked this one up about 3 weeks ago, it's just under 3 inches right now. Someone told me it's a kamfa, someone else said it was a kamfamalau. I have no history of the parents so how does it fit in then? Is it just categorized by body type and looks?

i would lean towards kamfamalau due to pearls and mouth shape

Ok, I've been trying to look at photos and descriptions but I'm not really good at seeing the differences yet - and the fish is only 3 inches so when I look at a 8 inch fish I have trouble seeing how it applies to younger fish too. Any recommended links with photos that are accurate would be helpful, I'm been trying to find grow out series but there aren't many.

This one has been getting some more color and pearls, hasn't grown too much though.

The blue flowerhorn has continues to spread its blue pearling and gain color. His head is finally popping some more too, I wondered if this one would even pop much. Had a little time so got a couple photos, not very good ones, this fish doesn't like to hold still at all.

I think its a kamfamalau since Kamfa have white eyes, right? Lol
