Day1:
This was Me and Ash's first outing with the yaks. We launched at Haulover canal into Mosquito lagoon. Fishing wasn't good, I caught a little seatrout with a Gulp shrimp. Then a dolphin bombarbed the area we fishing, in 2' of water! :screwy: So we just stopped by a spoil island and adventured on it. We found a ton a huge clam shells. After fishing some more we decided to call it quits because we wern't getting any bites.

Day 2:
This time I went by myself in Indian River Lagoon. In the morning as I was paddling out I notice a “tailing” fish. I slowly snuck up on it then casted and like a big fat newb I threw the bait right on top of the fish. :wall:The fish shot off like a rocket leaving a huge wake, it was big. Then after that I didn’t hook up with any except some stingrays. I saw schools of hardhead catfish, a bunch of puffers and even more southern stingrays. In the afternoon I started casting a top water swim bait and hooked a nice red fish unfortunately I dropped the reel in saltwater in a previous trip so the drag was very jittery which cost me that red fish. So I started using my other rod with a top water mullet plug. I was “walking the dog” then suddenly a fish came up struck at the lure and missed so started twitching the plug franticly making it look injured. Then BAM! Fish on .Landed it, measured it(19"), and released it.:headbang2 That one top water seatrout made up for my hole day.

Btw this was last month, sorry about all the writing
