I was feeding my mexican dragon eel, yellow head eel and volitan lion fish in my 130g a couple of days ago and while I was spearing a piece of shrimp for them, the dragon eel decided to try to slither out of the tank! He was about 4 inches out when I noticed and pushed him back in.
I'm lucky he didn't bite me as I grabbed for him by reflex. It's a good thing he didn't get out as he sure was slippery and it wouldn't have been any fun trying to pick him up.
I was starting to doubt whether I needed lids or not but now I'm a believer!
