Keep a well covered tank!

this happened a while ago, but i figured id post it anyway...

one morning i was at the computer. the saltwater aquarium was and is still in the same room as the computer. i get up to get breakfast and look down, and there's my lubbock's wrasse, laying on the rug...
i put him back in the tank, and he was fine in 2 days.
after a week, i started seeing him less. then i went back to my dads house (sw tank is at my moms house). when i came back the wrasse was nowhere to be found. i think he jumped out and the cat ate him....
we have 2 light systems on the tank so most of it's covered... the wrasse just happened to find the small opening..

Not cool.

Way back in the day (in my first room tank) I had an electric blue lobster. We found out the hard way they love getting out.

I'll never forget the night finding him behind my nightstand.
Near heart attack at age 11.

yea in my tank i built i had an opening that i left cause i havent got the time to get another sheet of plexi to put on top and woke up to find my pink spot watchman dead, never found my dragon wrasse and also lost a powder brown think the dog got them, but def gonna get a sheet when i re-set it up

I bought 2 baby Pbass (tems) 2 weeks ago. That evening I fed the fish in the tank and forgot to close the lid. Woke up to one of the Pbass laying on the carpet all dryied out. Now I make sure the lids are closed on both of my tanks before I go to bed.

Dont be an idiot like me Close your lids when you are not around your tanks!!!

I'll bet most of us have lost a fish to carpet surfing. Man it sucks.

I have only lost one fish that way, but caught and saved a few others.....
