is Channa Micropeltes a solitary fish? or can they keep with other micropeltes in the same aquarium?

I have 1500-2000 Lts, and I want put on 2 micropeltes in this aquarium, you think that i will have aggression problems in the future?

Thanks
Alejandro

Best option Is to Start with a half dozen small ones let them grow out together . don't worry they grow fast! A pair should form from the group at that point they'll turn on the rest.

A pair formed this way should be able to be housed together for life

Hope that helps.

The above. I still have five 50 cm long ones from the group of fingerlings.

No sign of agression whatever.

When they were legal here in the US, I've had a bunch of them - usually singly (because of size) - but I've had two together at some times - with no problems. Just keep an eye on them during feeding time.

When I had mine I usually kept them in pairs!

I've kept a few different types of snakeheads in the past ,before they were illegal. The red snakeheads that I kept always seemed to get along together. I would try to raise them together, like mentioned above, as they are always looking for their next meal. Sure do wish we could keep even just the dwarf species here in the U.S.. I have even had dreams while asleep about Channa blehri. Lol!!!
