Cats are one of the most destructive animals on earth, a single cat can cause the destruction of a species locally, and even cause entire species to go extinct!

Domestic Cats are one of the worst invasive species on the planet (they often make the top 10 on any invasive list)
And are part of the reason we don't see as many migratory neotropical birds.

Simply put, keep your cat indoors! It's better for both the cat and for the enviorment.

In a study I did locally here in Arizona, I walked a approximately 200 foot long stretch near a sidewalk , and in several months noted over 200 bird carcasses, ranging from just killed and left to partially devoured by cats.

we have lots of stray cats here. hanging out in our yards sleeping in our patio at night. they poop in our yards and it stinks! we used to have chicken as pets the fancy looking ones. and whenever the hen have chicks the cats are all over them finding ways to snatch the baby chicks. these cats have ate quite a few of my expensive pets over the years.

I think all pets should be confined to your property, even homing pigeons. If not for environmental reasons then for their own safety.

The guy who lived over my back fence had homing pigeons and threatened to shoot my cats if they ever ate his birds...

... Shoot my cats while they were confined to their yard for hurting his stupid birds that weren't confined to his? Yeah, good luck with that mate.
I told him if his birds shat on my washing that I was gonna strangle each and every single one of them and that my cats can kill whatever they want as long as its on my property and that I might just be tempted to knock a pigeons or two out of the air above my yard with a slingshot just so my cats have a new toy for 10 mins.

I don't actually believe that but he was being a wang so screw him. I take excellent care to keep my cats confined and to have some douche threaten to kill them because his birds aren't confined to his property made me furious.
Funnily enough his other neighbours dog got into his pigeons and killed almost all of them, ha! Suck it!

Good job, say would like about 80 more of em?

No thanks, three is enough for me!

I live in a rural area and my next door neighbor boards horses and for some reason people think it's just fine to drop off their unwanted cats in her driveway. I wouldn't mind so much if the cats stayed on her 5 acre property killing mice in the barns but for some reason they seem to enjoy stalking the birds at my feeders plus the other wildlife my yard attracts.

A pellet gun comes in handy to repel the feline intruders when I see them though I have been known to run wildly through the yard waving my hands and making noise to shoo them back across the property line.:screwy:

This is my biggest pet pet peeve! Cats do not belong running the streets or fields or woods. They kill indiscriminately. I have a cat and love him to death but he stays inside. Dogs also do not belong outside of your property. I currently own 3 and also love them to death but they stay in the yard. Our youngest just a year has taken to chasing the rabbits and squirrels in our yard. My neighbor said something to me about it and I kinda said yeah she needs to learn to leave them be. He said yeah if she doesnt you are going to have to put her down..... I was like WHAT! I will decide what needs to be done if she catches and kills something not you sir! Its my dog and my yard I dont like the idea of her hurting something other then something threatening my wife house or self either but I will decide. Meanwhile he has an out door cat.....
