In a bit of a bind.. sell titanium flowerhorn in my avatar and buy blue gene JD pair or buy female flower horn for titanium instead?

Keep in mind that if you were to breed a blue gene JD cross over to one another. You can and will throw out regular JD. If I was to choose, I'd say find a female silk to pair up with your male there.

If you were to cross it with a different female, I would do it with a female KK. But if you were to do so, have fun finding a worthy quality female KK.
