I am selling my 10 silver dollars as I going make my 240 gallon tank into a planted tank . I have a 46" long 11" wide and 13" high would 10 sliver dollors be ok in with seeded filter and heater can dose with seachem safe to bind any ammonia what do you think I will probably have to strip the tank down to get them out.

That temporary system should hold the silvers over,I would wait until after dark and scoop out the fish while they are dormant if possible rather than tearing down the tank and chasing them around.

these ones are active even with lights off. Going to re scape the tank as going to put plants in I am going make a divider and try to herd them to one side of the tank to cut down their swimming space

After my 55 broke I had to split up a lot of fish, including large cichlids among 3 sterlite bins. Didn’t have any casualties, keep up good aeration and have some cycled media in there and you’ll be fine.

ok I have some battery air pumps with a 26 hour run time I cause one when battery starts to weaken I can then swap it with a freshly charged one I will dose with safe after 10 hours to be on the safe side'

Good luck rehoming them and I hope they end up with someone who appreciates them.
I wish you were closer....
They should be fine for a while as long the seeded filter(s) moves with them and water changes continue while being in the plastic tote.

yes I like them just that I want to make that tank a planted tank and it will not be possible with the SD'S I will use seachem safe as well to lock any ammonia and may be do a 50% wc every 5 hours.

Planted tanks and silver dollars are possible, but plants have be chosen carefully and SD feeding has to be adjusted to cater for their needs! But I know it is not easy to switch on short notice....

When I upgraded from my 150 to the 450 I put all my fish in several totes with a sponge filter and pre set heaters on the lower setting. I didn't feed and they spent a week like that while I put new flooring in and converted the 150 to a sump. No casualties
