Hello,

I have 2 Jardini aros. About 3 inches. Recently bought them at the local fish store where they also have the siblings together in 1 tank.
I've heard that it's not the best to mix them because they kill each other as they get bigger. But I see on youtube, they mix them together and they're doing fine?
Is it because the fish tank is heavily stocked? Or would it matter if the genders are the same? Like 2 females?
If you have any experience with these fish, I would like to know! Thank you!

Not a good idea, Jars usually have some of the worst attitude in fish keeping. Also tankmates might feel the wrath with only one in the tank. But....you never know.

I suggest returning one of the Jardini's. Jardini communities have extremely low success rates and when they are successful, its because the tanks are so massive/a bunch of them. In my LFS, the Jardini's are all separated because they start fighting. Gender does not matter, Jardini's rarely tolerate anything, let along another Jardini in a tank with them.

How big of a tank are you keeping them in currently, and what else is currently in that tank??
