Hi I have a full grown red devil in a 125g community, I was thinking about getting another devil, what are the chances of this working? The new devil would probably only be 3 inches or so. Never kept more than 1 devil so just looking for some advice, thanx!

IMO it wouldn't work even if the other devil that your going to get was full grown also they would have territory issues, not to mention the reputation these guys have for hating everything else in its tank. But it is up to you, do you have a male RD or a female? is there a lot of decor that the smaller fish can hide in?

Well what do you think will happen when a full grown MALE Red Devil see's a 3" fish intrude in his territory? Chaos.
our 10" RD is Nuts... at any water change he bites all the time shreds the glass scruber chomps the glass, but he has tank mates and he's not to aggressive towards them because they know he's boss. but when we got him the LFS said that he killed fully grown other RD's and he had to be kept in a tank on his own, he has killed loads of fish including a few other RD's. he is the only RD in the tank...
but No i dont think it would work especially a 3" one i would have doubts about a fully grown one wot we done when adding a 10" female Jag was:
we took him out and put him in a bucket done a 65% water changed took out all the decor cleaned evrything and put it back in totally different then put in the female Jag and then the RD and everthing has been fine so far. (touch wood)
