yesterday i picked up a indo dat at my LFS and also bought a little breeder net thingy for him....
i noticed today he is feeling cramped and very stressed out, i am unable to put him in 180g because he will be eaten right away by my clown knife, lima cat nandus nandus or ornate bichir...
so i decided to move him into his own heated and filtered 10g with breeding guppys (saw him eat a baby today pretty awesome to see a thumb-nail sized fish become super predatorial). the 10g has live plants for hiding and a sandy substrate with little snails everywhere.i have been feeding him frozen brine and bloodworms and he gets the occasional baby guppy.
will the 10g be adequate and for how long and until what size?

if not what should i do?

any info or answers help

thanks, sam

I keep my minis in a 14g Biocube. I'll be moving then into my 75g once they reach 1"-1.5". I think a 10g should suffice until it's 2" because there aren't other tigers but obviously bigger tank=faster growth so I wouldn't keep him/her in a 10g for too long.

I have 5 mini tigers in a 5g Atm. Doing fine, and feeding on blackworms. 2 of them are 3widebar/4bar. Gl with the little dat

Dats are not the most active fish so I'd guess that he'd be fine in that ten for quite a while.

ya it might actually be better for them until they grow to a certain size b/c they wont have to swim around too much to find food

so far the dat is doing good hes starting to show his colors more and he is around 1 1/2 inches was 1/2 inches when i got him
i just got a 330g fish tank so he will be in a bigger tank soon
