if you get the female she needs to be a bit smaller then the male .put a divider in the tank keep your temp on 82-83 F,let them get use to each other presence. they need to build a mutual respect relationship. put a clay pot or plate on the male side of the tank.after a couple of weeks remove the divider and see how they react to each other they may lip lock a bit, chase around, etc. But aggression should be kept to a minimum, if either one is over aggressive put the divider back up.and try again in a week or two.when they pair up they are both gonna start cleaning the plate or any place they choose. the female will drop her tube and get a darker color with bars in her body then shes ready to drop eggs.as she drops her eggs the male follows behind and spray his milt to fertilized.eggs will be milky withe if they fertile they will develop a small black dot and turn a light amber color.
