How do I keep a small pond cool?

I am assuming you are talking about an above ground pond. Locate the pond in partial shade. If that is not possible, floating plants will shade the pond and keep the water cool. You can freeze water in plastic bottles and throw them in the pond to reduce the water temperature.

I've tried so many different things to try and keep my pond cool nothing seems to work. The water hyacinths I added have been keeping the temp down a bit but I still wouldn't say it's cool. If you find a way I'd like to here it.
