keeping an lmb with

does anyone know if i can keep an lmb with an electric blue ahli? just wondering.

The ahli will become a snack one day...

eventually, but they both have relatively same growth rates. the only difference is smb get huge, ahlis only get about 6-8 inches

i'm pretty sure the largemouth will have a much faster growth rate than the cichlid. i have had my blue ahli for about 2 years and its 4-5 inches long. that largemouth should more than double that in a year. if you try it good luck!

The lmb will make short work of it.

Mine (22") has eaten my favorite red emperess, a blue gill, a sunfish, and is now eye balling my midas cichlids.

Water parameters would also be a concern.

what do you mean by that? I know that keeping an lmb in tropical temp is no problem because they come from all over the place-flordia and further up north. lmbs are really tough fish

o sorry, now i understand what you mean. like nitirite levels and ammonia, etc. if i did get an lmb i would do frequent water changes

I would'nt risk losing an Ahli myself.
