Does anyone see a problem with trying to keep a smallish dog, a cat (who's really calm around other animals) and a hand raised goose and turkey around each other?
I've seen geese be ok with cats, but have no idea about the turkey.

Anyone have any general ideas?
I wouldn't let any bird be around the dog or cat until it was way past the ''food size'' stage. :)

Geese here are aggressive. Our farm has loads of turkeys, geese and other fowls but the dogs and cats generally leave them alone as the geese and turkeys tend to flare up and chase anyone away. I've been attacked by both before.

Ive seen turkeys with the dogs and most of time the turkeys leave the dogs alone. However im not sure about turkey/cat combo. Just depends on their personalities.

It just depends on how early they were raised together. If you get a baby goose or turkey show the dog or cat that it's no a toy or food, it's another member of the family. As they grow together they should get use to each other but you should always keep an eye on them.

I've heard geese are practically the sweetest pets ever if you hand raise them, and keep them close to you all the time..

Even hand raised geese can be aggressive, especially during breeding/nesting..no kidding. Like I said its all personalities.

TURKEYS are mean GIANT creatures.... one chased me! They are hek a fast 2!
