Hello all,

I have a 6inch arowana in a 30 gallon grow out tank. I have a 250 gallon prepared for it. I breed my own feeder fish, guppies and wanted to ask if it would cause any harm (drop eye, stress, overfeeding) if I left the feeders in the tank with the arowana. A group of 30 or so. No real purpose except for convenience and the arowana can snack when it wishes.

Thanks!

Great to hear you breed the feeder guppies yourself so that`s ok to leave them in the aquarium. Tbh I don`t think anyone really knows why Silver Arowana develop drop eye.

aros tend to smash into walls and decor when chasing live feeders. in the end it is your fish but i prefer high quality pellets and cut up raw shrimp.
Thank you, you do have a valid point. It tends to ignore pellets and I have not tried with shrimp as yet.

Thanks!
