i would like to keep an australian native tank (well almost australian)..the fish i am wishing to keep are:

3 spangled perch (6-8cm)
1 coal grunter (10-12cm)
2 archerfish
4 mono's
2 pictus cats
2 bristlenose

i will be adding some salt to account for the brackish fauna

does anyone have anything to say about the fish i would like to keep..or any problems that may come with them

yeh wat size tank? monos and archerrs need salt at a brackish lvel and britlenose will die from salt. spangleds ad coals can handle a bit of salt but not the level needed for a mono to survive

The spangleds should be able to take that salt but it depends on where they are from in Australia they are very widespread and can be given a wide range conditions and still thrive but still i wouldnt risk the salt with them.
Also those spangleds are going to chase and attack anything which will not defend itself and usually even if they will fight back, so its not a good idea to keep those archers with them unless your tank is a high one.
Make sure the other fish are at least of a comparable size to the Coal grunter otherwise its pretty much going to bully them when its a little bigger.
