I think I know the answer to this but could I keep my borneo short tail with my red? I think the answers no, but I could be wrong as I most often am :p lol

You should never keep any snake together regardless of species.
Snakes are not social animals and do not seek each other out just because. The only time they look for another is for breeding, eating or communal hibernation (only in a few select species) They do not like each other....
Keeping snakes together in captivity often results in unexpected and unprepared gravid animals that may be to young to handle it.
If one regurgitates or has unnatural feces or parasites then you have no way of knowing which one is the problematic one and most likely both will end up with the problem.
Snakes are opportunity feeders.... just because a species is not known for cannibalistic doesn't mean it won't eat it's cage mate.

There are many other reasons, these are just a few of the big ones...
Don't do it.
