Anyone keeping Atros or have experience with breeding them? I have a 8" male that I got when he was about 2" and a 5" female that I've had for 9 months. They are in different tanks currently but I'm thinking about moving both into a 75 with the hopes of breeding.

Any thoughts guys?

Dave

Nice! I have a small 5" male and female I recently ordered. They seem to get along fine and are eating like pigs. I would try putting them in the same tank with a light diffuser as a barrier so they can get used to each other. That way you don't lose one of them to aggression.

I'm sure you've already experienced there night time predation habits.

I think I would divide them every night.

My 7" Female gets pushed around during the day and then gets revenge each night

It looks like these are tough to breed. I had them back in the 1980`s and had no luck. They have been bred in aquariums before though so hang in there.
